When Su-Kam was created, the power back-up industry in India was completely unorganized, characterized by poor product quality and low technology. But with a relentless pursuit this customer centric company has made itself the unquestioned market leader today.
Armed with Honours in Mathematical Statistics and LLB from University of Delhi the MD of the company immersed himself in understanding how an inverter works and he gained the knowledge that went on to be the guiding light in getting the company to be at the top.
He realized that a country like India with a perpetual shortfall in power supply needed a reliable power back-up solution which is a necessity, not a luxury. He was thus determined to give India, the finest products based on the most advanced technologies.
S. B. Ganguly
Leading senior professional with over 45 years of management experience, he has served as Chairman, CEO and MD of billion-dollar-plus listed enterprises for over two decades. He is noted as a high impact leader with demonstrated corporate performance over a sustained period of time.
He has had a lasting impact at board, R&D, shop floor, marketing and sales, HR and industrial relations levels. He has also been an active advisor, mentor and coach to several companies and entrepreneurs as non-executive, independent director focusing on corporate governance.
Some of the well-known companies that he has been associated with are Century Ply, Exide batteries, Dunlop India and many others.
Chief Operating Officer
A Management Graduate from University of Delhi, Madan brings to the company, the wealth of over 31 years of experience with him. He has had earlier stints with Tudor India Ltd., Willard Storage Battery Ltd. and Champion Spark Plug etc.
He has extensive experience in the battery industry and has been exposed to sales and operations in Europe, China, Australia and USA.
At Su-Kam, he has complete charge of the manufacturing operations, post sales, marketing, corporate communications, channel sales of batteries, inverters, home UPS systems, high capacity inverters and UPS systems, along with institutional and telecom business. He provides the focus and strategies to strengthen the Su-Kam brand in every corner of the country. He has also initiated the creation of nationwide distributor networks.
Director – Technical
An M.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering from REC Kurukshetra, he has over 13 years of rich experience in the field of R&D mainly in Power Electronics, Control and Embedded Systems. Prior to Su-Kam, he has worked for Central Electronics Engineering Research Institution (CEERI). He has filed for over 35 technical patents, more than 40 design patents & over 110 copyrights during his stay in Su-Kam so far.
As the technology head of the company, he ensures that his team stays abreast of developments in the field all over the world and devises ways of using today's science and technology to create newer, better products for tomorrow. He is responsible for R&D, technical advancement, product innovation, quality, process improvement, automation and IP etc.
Manoj Kumar Goel
Sr. Vice President – M&A
Mr. Goel came on board Su-Kam in 2008 with a rich experience of 22 years in Manufacturing Operations in companies like Lumax, Gillette, Delphi & Continental AG. At Su-Kam, he discharged P&L responsibility while handling Multiple Plant Operations, ensuring overall profitability in operations.
He has successfully managed the entire supply chain besides using his time-tested interpersonal skills to build and lead highly effective and motivated teams. He led in implementing the best management practices & techniques like TPM, Kaizen, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, JIT inventory control and SMED etc., to achieve the highest productivity and quality levels consistently.
He specialises in the best management practices deployed to enhance productivity, maintaining quality standards, setting up new facilities, 6-sigma based PIP, resource management, quality assurance and more. No wonder, some of Su-Kam’s manufacturing facilities came into existence under his able leadership.
Currently as Sr. V.P-M&A, Manoj is responsible for Merger & Acquisition, Strategic Growth, Collaborations/JV and projects at Su-Kam. His Leadership strengths include strategic business planning and executing programs for all phases of the business life cycle i.e. startup, expansion, contraction, turnaround, reengineering.
Harinder Singh Jaidka
Associate Vice President – Sales & Service
Harinder Singh is an astute and result oriented professional with nearly 26 years of experience in managing Business Development Functions, Sales & Services, Marketing, Operations, Product Promotions & Launch, Client Relationship Management and Team Management. He attained proficiency in Business Development, Operations, and Sales & Marketing activities along with the distinction of accomplishing multi folds revenue increase in his previous assignments at Goodyear, Atlas Cycles and Toshiba Anand Batteries.
A Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, he is a visionary thinker with global perspective and entrepreneurial drive. He is also a key contributor to enterprise-level planning and decision-making. He has also been active in conceiving and executing corporate strategy for capturing lead market position in the emerging arena.
Mr Jaidka has to his credit a consistent track record of attaining yearly growth both in terms of sales and revenues, as well as developing new markets, thereby expanding the customer base.
His proficiency in developing & streamlining systems with proven ability to enhance operational/ administrative effectiveness and meet operational goals within the cost, time & quality parameters has brought in significant dividends to the company.
Associate Vice President – Solar Projects
Ashish Sethi has over 20 years’ experience in the power/energy Industry. This experience straddles Manufacturing/Production, Strategy, Business Development, and Marketing & Sales besides Execution.
He started his career with Triveni Engg & Inds ltd (TEIL) in the production department and went on to lead TEIL’s Alternate BD vertical for 5 years, helping the business grow manifold. He has also led Alstom’s after-market vertical for South India for a year and GE Energy’s After Market Steam and Non-GE gas turbines vertical in India for five years.
He has the distinction of helping set up and then run the Manufacturing Plant and Sales & Commercial Operations of a steam turbine manufacturing company in Hyderabad.
Prior to joining Su-Kam, he was heading the Sales for solar vertical of ACME TELEPOWER, India and was instrumental in powering their exponential growth.
Currently with Su-Kam as an SBU (Strategic Business Unit) head for the solar projects and is responsible for the complete P&L of Su-Kam’s solar initiatives, including strategy, strategic partnerships, marketing and sales, execution and delivery and services.
GM, Solar Network
With over a decade of experience he has been a key player in making Su-Kam a trusted household name in over 70 countries across the world. He has articulated, designed and implemented the global business model for the export of inverters from India.
He, along with his team, has built up an impressive global network of dealers and distributors who are extremely customer friendly. He makes sure that Su-Kam is a prominent participant in exhibitions, trade fairs and buyer - seller meets in the most significant international markets. Thanks to him, Su-Kam has been recognized as the best brand in the West African and East African markets. Under his leadership, the company has established offices in the UAE, Bangladesh and Nigeria, apart from an assembly plant in Nepal.
He is a Commerce graduate, with a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management and a Post Graduate in International Marketing GDIB from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi.
Baljit Singh Bawa
GM, Logistics and Commercial
A strategic planner with expertise in implementing cost saving measures, Baljit Singh Bawa has many years of hands on experience in formulating and interpreting financial information, analysis and recommendations in all areas. His exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills added to his industry experience in various operations like SCM, Logistics, Commercial, and Credit Control.
Holding an MBA in Finance from IMT Ghaziabad he is currently managing all India and international SCM, logistics and commercial functions for Su-Kam, as General Manager, Logistics and Commercial.
With a vast repertoire of industry experience from Marico Industries to Perfetti Van Melle and Whirlpool India Ltd., Baljit Singh Bawa brings to the organization his exceptional forte in departments like CFA operations, vendor development, legal and statutory compliance, distribution management and budgeting to name a few.
General Manager & OSD
Sonia Nagpal is a new member of the Su-Kam firmament. She joins the Company as General Manager & OSD. Her principle areas of responsibility will pertain to engaging with corporates for implementing practical recommendations in the domains of sales strategy, marketing, technology deployment and risk.
Sonia brings a formidable accumulation of experience from running her own venture – i360 Staffing and Training – from 2008 to the present date. Her competencies consist of handling personnel and rendering advisory services and business consultation for sales and business planning and operational process improvements. Her footprints are to be found across industry segments in the specific realms of developing entrepreneurial skills and decisively influencing sales and marketing strategies by filling loopholes in the status quo. Besides, her advisory services work has also been instrumental in extending industry-rich experience from subject-matter experts in a variety of verticals. Appropriately, she was conferred with the prestigious 100 Most Desirable SMB Business Award by Franchise India in April 2010.
Sonia’s prior professional pursuits include being a Country Partner Alliance Manager with HP wherein she would handle partners, customers and Alliance Partners of the likes of Oracle/ Telecom ISVs. Furthermore, she was also in-charge of Marketing Management for Telecom, Oracle, BEA Verticals – GO to market engagement, Product Bundles for Channel Sell Thru, Seed arrangements for ISV/SI partners/ Key Accounts. Her core competencies in execution and innovation have fetched her coveted laurels such as the Winners’ Summit Award in HP and the WW HP Summit Award for Excellence.
